Hi! I’m Sara Brogdon and I graduated from the Academy of Art University in 2018 with a Master of Fine Art in drawing and painting. I also have a Master of Art in teaching from Central Washington University since March of 2022. I have taught photography at North Creek High School (Spring 2022) and continue to work in the Northshore School District presently. 

I live in Woodinville, WA. and offer college advising and art portfolio services at Stilig art studio in Snohomish, WA.

I have found that the application process for art schools and global art galleries relies heavily on the art portfolio. I am here to guide you in your portfolio completion, offering mentorship on your preferred medium and future goals while helping you steer the often complicated college application process.

My process

When we work together, you will have me as a mentor throughout the admissions process. I am 100+% committed to helping you navigate this stressful but thrilling adventure to discover the best creative environment where you will thrive academically, socially, personally, and artistically. I will start by listening to you and learning about who you are, what excites and inspires you, what your ideal college experience looks like, and what you want to get out of our partnership. We can then begin our work on each stage of the application process while preparing your visual art portfolio. This includes selecting schools, polishing strong essays, asking for strong recommendation letters, preparing for interviews, applying for financial aid and scholarships, deciding between prospective schools, drafting letters of continued interest (in cases of deferral or being waitlisted), and preparing to matriculate.

Throughout the process, as the prospective college student, you will always be the priority, and we will work together to understand and honor your perspective, goals, needs, and dreams.
